The MCQ consists of 30 single-best-answer questions delivered online after the workshop. The assessment covers mandatory pre-reading content, workshop theoretical components, and practical demonstrations. Candidates are required to achieve a pass mark of ≥80%, with instant automated feedback and up to three attempts. About this Exam
This Ethics Exam is based on Good Medical Practice: A Code of Conduct for Doctors in Australia issued by the Medical Board of Australia. It outlines the ethical standards, principles, and professional conduct expected of all registered medical practitioners.
Assessment:
This exam consists of multiple-choice questions assessing knowledge of ethical decision-making, professional behaviour, and compliance with AHPRA guidelines. A minimum pass mark of 80% is required to achieve certification.

ACAM Practice-Based Fellowship Refresher Examination
The ACAM Practice-Based Fellowship Refresher Examination is a formal assessment designed to support the ongoing professional development and currency of ACAM Fellows.
This examination assesses knowledge and understanding across key areas of aesthetic and cosmetic medicine, ensuring alignment with contemporary clinical standards, ethical practice, patient safety, and professional responsibilities expected of Fellowship-level practitioners.
The refresher exam provides Fellows with an opportunity to reflect on current best practice, consolidate learning, and demonstrate continued competence in accordance with ACAM Fellowship standards.

ACAM Head and Neck Anatomy Course

Students will be guided through the complexities of facial and neck anatomy in this interactive six-week Zoom course, featuring weekly reinforcement quizzes.
Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of facial landmarks, veins and arteries, bone structures, and their relationships with the underlying musculature, as well as how these elements change with ageing. The course also covers key “danger zones” critical for aesthetic procedures and skin cancer practice.
This program is ideal for practitioners in aesthetic medicine, skin cancer medicine, or anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of facial anatomy. Upon completing the lecture series and quizzes, students will receive a certificate of completion.

The Laser Training (OLT) Radiation Health-approved (ED220) Laser Physics and Safety Officer Course is delivered online.
Participants completing this course will satisfy the requirements of the theoretical components of the required competencies for persons wishing to obtain a use license for surgical, cosmetic and maintenance procedures; and radiation safety officer certificate for surgical and cosmetic practices under the Queensland Government Radiation Safety Act 1999, West Australian and Tasmanian requirements as well as operating room status in all states and territories.

Course Information
This course features 11 online lessons across 4 learning units, each with engaging video presentations, downloadable workbooks, and slide transcripts.
At the end of every lesson, you’ll complete a multiple-choice quiz with a 100% pass mark required to proceed. Quizzes include the built-in Quiz-Assist® feature, guiding you to the relevant study materials if you don’t pass on the first try. Learners have up to 8 attempts per quiz. If you reach the 8-attempt limit, the course will be terminated, though support is available should you need help unlocking progress or have further questions.
After completing all units successfully, you can download your statement of completion.
What will you learn
The course content is biased towards cutaneous laser/IPL cosmetic procedures (hair reduction, photo rejuvenation, pigmented and vascular lesion treatments, acne, and tattoo removal) although medical/surgical applications are covered briefly (OBGYN, ENT, surgery, ophthalmic treatments, EVLT, laser lipolysis and laser vaginal skin tightening).
The four units of the Laser Physics and Safety Officer Course are:

- Section 2: Laser/intense light generation and characteristics
- Section 3: Hazards and risks from equipment and laser/IPL beams

About the course
The Medical Board of Australia (MBA) has introduced new guidelines for practitioners who perform cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures, highlighting the importance of diagnosing and managing patients with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).
The Motivated Patient Examination and its accompanying resources are designed to keep practitioners up to date with the latest research and academic perspectives on BDD. You will be provided with relevant resources, including a link to the DSM-V and selected peer-reviewed papers. If a specific paper is not included, you are encouraged to create a PubMed account and search for “Body Dysmorphic Disorder” to explore the most current peer-reviewed literature.
Complete a 20-question quiz (multiple choice and true/false) in 30 minutes with an 80% pass mark and unlimited attempts. Resources are available during the exam. Participants can re-enrol as often as they wish.
Complete within 4 weeks. Enrolments close mid-November; unfinished courses roll into the next CPD year.

ACAM Review of Medical Board Guidelines for Cosmetic Practitioners

In 2022, the Medical Board of Australia released the Guidelines for Registered Medical Practitioners Who Perform Cosmetic Procedures, outlining its expectations for cosmetic medical practice. This marked a significant shift in training, practice standards, and CPD requirements.
This resource has been developed to help practitioners review these guidelines and explore the related Acts and regulations that apply. It serves as an introductory guide only; practitioners must ensure they fully understand and meet all obligations set out by the Medical Board of Australia.
This self-paced course uses the Cambridge Methodology and requires formal enrolment. Once enroled, you’ll receive your course materials and be expected to create a PubMed account (fee applies).
Work through the provided resources, including relevant legislation and guidelines. After completing the material, you’ll submit a declaration confirming your completion and reflection on your practice.
Upon receiving your declaration, ACAM will email your completion certificate.

Skin Health in General Practice

The course is presented in five sections, which cover the concepts of healthy skin, wound healing, scaring and remediation. The course collates the latest scientific knowledge on the concept of healthy skin.
The general complications of wound healing are discussed, along with the wound healing profile of acute and chronic wounds.
The biochemistry and physiological processes of wound healing and scar remediation that the general practitioner can begin in their rooms.
Suggested references help guide the GP through the literature and add more in-depth knowledge to the information presented in the course. Foundational concepts and knowledge are tested at the end of each section.
The pass mark is 80%. Once completed, the candidate can move to the next section, and on completion of the final online quiz requires (3 attempts, pass mark of 80%) a certificate of completion is generated.
